This post is more a call for help than your usual Web Development tip and commentary on the Ubuntu Linux distro. My team and I are currently being swamped with work here and may need some help very soon.
So in this post I am asking developers of some skill to contact me as I may need to call upon you soon. I will try to get back to you, but no promises, I am already getting a lot of emails from other channels and have selected a few to slowly build my roster, but I may need some more down the track.

There I’ve said it, I’ve spent the most part of today and my afternoon yesterday theming VM. I thought, hey there’s a default template here, I’ll just modify that…
Several hours later, I’m bumping into inline styles, redundant div nesting and crappy css! FFS I just wanted to change a couple of defaults! VM team! Please update your default template to use semantic mark up!!!! I can’t put it anyother way… The default virtuemart theme is a piece of $***.

A quick way to duplicate MySQL databases is to do the following:

The main goal for me acquiring this monstrous 19 incher is just so I can move around (mind you this mofo is huge, so my moving around is limited) my house and not just stay couped up in the study. A couple of important things happened when I got this laptop:

A valuable lesson I’ve learnt from a mishap late last year with one of my domains. It is a common “bonus offer” for many web hosting companies to provide a “free” domain name either for the first year or for the lifetime of your account with the hosting company. But what would happen if things go sour?

I use mybloglog to keep track of activity on my blog. This includes statistics on links that a user clicks on. The idea behind tracking this is pretty simple. A user clicks on a link or an ad which then gets recorded by mybloglog as an anonymous click same concept as google’s adsense tracking system.

This is just a quick, minimal list of what firefox extensions I install for use in my day to day Web Development work. While some of the extensions may not be related to Web Development, they could be seen as essential convenience extensions.
Here’s the top ten in the order of how I install them (I’m not going to do a countdown as it’s so very “the late show with David Letterman”) on a brand new installation of Firefox on Ubuntu, Windows, Fedora or any other operating System that supports Firefox.
